Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has "completely recovered" and is aware of her surroundings, Apollo Hospitals Chairman Pratap C Reddy said here on Friday.
"All I can say is, very clearly, she is very satisfied... What I mean by very satisfied, that means she has completely recovered. She is aware of what is going on around her," he said in his first press meet since the CM was hospitalised on September 22.
"She is completely aware of what is happening. Asks and demands what she wants and I believe and everybody, even she, is looking forward when she will go home and take back the reins," he said.
“When she will come home I think is dependent on her now. The most important part of the treatment has been very successful. She is completely under control. She controls the doctors and nurses around — what she should do and what they should do. So we are very happy to tell you that she is well," Reddy said.
“Decision on when she will go home will only be made by her. You know her nature. She understands herself very well. She will ask us very soon — When am I going home? This must be on the top of her mind. It is a pleasant thing to say that she is completely aware of what’s going on. It cannot be too long before she sees you all very soon."

Jayalalithaa was admitted to the corporate hospital on September 22 after she complained of fever and dehydration. Later, the hospital had said she was being treated for infection with respiratory support, among others.
Specialists from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, and from London, among others, have treated her during the period.
