New Delhi: Bollywood Actress Kangana Ranaut was awarded the Indian of the Year 2015 in Special Achievement Category (Female).
Winner of three national awards and a string of Bollywood hits, Kangana Ranaut thanked CNN-News 18 for the special gesture.
"The award means a lot. The year 2016 has been really low but this has given me a high," Kangana chuckled.
Kangana added that these kind of awards are essential to make our lives look like a good screen play unlike a boring film.
On the recent controversy surrounding the film Udta Punjab, Kangana said she was "very concerned" with the censorship row.
She also requested that the FM Jaitley who is also the I&B Minister to address the issue adding that Cinema is a medium that requires detailing and a parental attitude by the censor board won’t work.
