A Basic Shiksha Adhikari officer who went missing three days back was found in an unconscious state in a passenger train bound for Lucknow, the GRP said on Monday.

Kanpur: A Basic Shiksha Adhikari officer who went missing three days back was found in an unconscious state in a passenger train bound for Lucknow, the GRP said on Monday.

The officer, belonging to Firozabad district, was allegedly kidnapped by three unidentified youths on Saturday and found unconscious in the passenger train on Sunday.

"Basic Shiksha Adhikari officer Gauri Khushwaha was travelling to her sister's place on August 6 and around 7 pm some strangers allegedly gagged and blindfolded her," TP Pandey, SHO of Government Railway Police in Kanpur said.

The railway police found the woman in an unconscious state in the train and admitted her to a hospital, the SHO said, adding that she regained consciousness on Sunday night.

"A case has been registered against the three unidentified youths in this connection and the victim is being questioned by the police for further probe," the railway police added.
