THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Projecting the key words ‘Originality, Purity and Kerala Flavour’, the products made by Kudumbashree units across the State would be lined up for an exhibition-cum-sale at the Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium on June 23 and 24.The expo is part of the 13th anniversary of Kudumbashree movement and the special convention of Community Development Societies’ (CDS) chairpersons to be held in the capital. There would be a lavish spread of ethnic food items and popular consumer items at the fair. A statement from Kudumbashree said that over 150 select products, from across the State, would be on sale in the 30 stalls to be put up at the fair, which will be on from 10 am on June 23 to 5 pm on June 24.More than 500 successful entrepreneurs who were instrumental in bringing about success stories in Kudumbashree would take part in the fair.The statement says that a vast array of products like pickles, fruit juices, flavours of different grains, ready-to-mix masalas and eco-friendly handicrafts would be displayed at the expo. Palakkad ‘kondattom’, Ernakulam pineapple and such indigenous items would also be lined up. The fair would provide a one-stop shop to buy Kudumbashree products.The other items which will be put up for sale here are the rice flour, wheat flour, ‘puttu podi’, Brahmi jam, Brahmi granules, Brahmi oil, herbal oil, sandal soap, strawberry jam, baskets, jewellery and mats. Stalls on Responsible Tourism from the districts of Kottayam and Wayanad would be the other attractions.
