Lighting up the eco-friendly way

HYDERABAD: In an effort to promote sustainable use of energy, Wipro launched a range of LED-based lighting devices on Wednesday. The products launched include Scai LED and Cres LED. Many of these LED devices are also compatible with solar energy, according to Parag Kulkarni, business head, commercial lighting and furniture business, Wipro. Adressing the media, he said Orio, the company’s street-lighting products recently won The Design for Asia award.Parag said Wipro has supplied lighting to 75 out of 130 green buildings in the country.
