Lock-up death: 2 cops suspended

SANGAREDDY: A subinspector and a constable were suspended on Thursday following a lock-up death at Ramachandrapuram police station, near here.District superintendent of police PJ Victor on Thursday issued the suspension orders on SI Ramakrishna and constable Subba Rao for dereliction of duty causing the death of an accused in the cell.The suspension order was based on the report of an official inquiry into the circumstances leading to the death of K Brahmam (48) who died in Ramachandrapuram police custody on Tuesday.
