New Delhi: In a drastic turnaround, the Congress which won all 7 seats in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections has not managed to win even a single seat in Delhi. All the seven seats have gone to the Bharatiya Janata Party.
The Aam Aadmi Party which did extremely well in the Assembly polls in December 2013 came second in all the seats.
Delhi BJP chief Harsh Vardhan has won the prestigious Chandni Chowk seat where he was up against AAP's Ashutosh and Congress's Kapil Sibal. BJP's Meenakshi Lekhi has won against AAP's Ashish Khaitan in the New Delhi constituency.
In the South Delhi constituency, BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri has won against AAP candidate Devinder Sehrawat. BJP's Parvesh Verma has won West Delhi against AAP's Jarnail Singh. In North East Delhi seat, BJP candidate Manoj Tiwari has won against AAP's Anand Kumar. In North West Delhi constituency, Udit Raj of BJP has won against AAP's Rakhi Birla.
