Police seized the vehicle and arrested its driver Manoj Sahu as he tried to flee.
Rewa: A crane driver tried to run over policemen during a crackdown on the mining mafia in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa district.
Two policemen have been injured during the incident. SS Mishra, the sub-divisional official of Sirmaur area, said the police station in-charge of Sirmaur VP Singh was on patrol duty with his team at night when he noticed mining work being carried out. He then called out to the driver.
According to Mishra, instead of coming to Singh, the driver tried to crush him. But he managed to save his life. He fell into a ditch which caused him injuries on the hands and legs.
