London: An oil painting depicting 'Queen of Pop' Madonna naked in bed along with her ex-husband Guy Ritchie has been put up for auction.
Scottish artist Peter Howson's Madonna and Guy which had created a huge controversy when it was first revealed in 2005 will go under the hammer on Saturday and is expected to fetch upto 22,000 pounds, reported Mirror online.
The auction has attracted much attention as the memory of the couple's 'quickie divorce' in 2008 is still fresh in the public's memory.
"There is no doubt that the recent split of Madonna and Guy has generated increased interest in the painting. The painting created a huge amount of controversy when it was unveiled a few years ago and I think it's safe to say it is one of a kind," said Brian Clements from the McTear's auction house in Glasgow which has put the painting up for sale.
The portrait shows Madonna in a reclining position with Ritchie resting his hand on her thigh.
The painting has had it's share of celebrity buyers including David Bowie and Mick Jagger.
