Man beaten, face blackened and paraded for loving a village girl

Gorakhpur: In a shameful incident, a young man was beaten up and paraded with his face blackened and his head shaved in Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh for loving a girl in the village.

What is even more surprising is that this happened in the presence of Amrendra Nishad, son of local Samajwadi Party MLA Rajmati Nishad.

The locals are not willing to talk about the incident and have distanced themselves from the young man's family due to the fear of the panchayat.
