Man held for transporting explosives

CHIKBALLAPUR: A person transporting explosive materials in a jeep from Madanapalli in Andhra Pradesh to Chinthamani in Chikballapur district, was arrested. Sheikh Aftab Pasha (24), is a resident of Vaddipalli village, Madanapalli in AP.Acting on a tip-off on Monday, police officials were deployed on Chinthamani Madanapalli road. The team headed by ASP Ramesh stopped the vehicle at Madikere Cross. Police recovered 193 gelatin sticks, 800 detonators, 100 kg gun powder and 150 kg aluminium nitrate from the jeep.
