Man locks himself inside Hosur church

HOSUR: Tension prevailed at Govinda Agraharam village near here on Sunday after a man locked himself up inside a church protesting against the church committee’s reported decision to excommunicate him.It is said that the church committee had excommunicated Muniraj for a period of seven years based on some allegations against him.On Sunday morning, Muniraj entered the church and locked the door from inside.  People who came for the Sunday mass were shocked to find the church closed.SIPCOT police reached the spot, but they too could not do anything as Muniraj refused to come out. Around 5 pm, Muniraj himself opened the door and came out.Muniraj warned the church committee members that he would repeat the same if the action against him continued. Police did not take action as talks were on to sort out the issue.
