CHENNAI: As a part of ExNoRa’s Green Kalam initiative, 25,000 saplings were planted in MARG Swarnabhoomi on the East Coast Road on Friday. The Green Kalam project was the brainchild of former President of India, Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, who wanted to see a greener Tamil Nadu by planting one million saplings. The real estate developer will plant 1.5 lakh saplings at its projects — Swarnabhoomi and Karaikal Port.Actor Vivek, who was the chief guest, said, “We cannot tell people not to build factories or drive cars. What we can tell them is to plant trees that provide us with oxygen.” GRK Reddy, Chairman & Managing Director, MARG Ltd assured his full support to the initiative. The ceremony was inaugurated by Dr V Ponraj, scientific advisor to Dr Abdul Kalam
