Mentally-challenged man hacks 4-year-old nephew to death, kills self

A mentally-challenged man in Kheri district on Friday hacked his 4-year-old nephew to death and attacked his sister-in-law, before ending his life by consuming some poisonous substance. The incident took place in Narang village of the district, police said.

Kailash Kewat was said to be mentally unstable. He first killed his nephew Vivek and later attacked his sister-in-law with a sharp-edged weapon, leaving her grievously injured, they said.

Kailash then consumed some poisonous substance and later died, police said.
