Barmer: A MiG 27 fighter aircraft crashed in Barmer in Rajasthan on Tuesday.
No casualties have been reported in the mishap as of now. Air Force sources said the crash occurred at about 3:10 PM.
The pilot ejected safely, a defence spokesperson said in New Delhi.
The aircraft, which is used for ground attack purposes, took off from Jodhpur airbase and was on its way to Uttarlai air force station in Rajasthan.
It was on routine sortie, he said, adding, helicopters have been flown to the site of the crash for rescue operation. A probe has been ordered into the crash.
