New Delhi: All the hype seems to be justified: 'The Cabin in the Woods' is a huge hit with critics. The much-anticipated horror comedy, produced and co-written by Joss Whedon, follows a group of five college friends who go to a remote cabin for a weekend getaway. Naturally, things do not turn out well.
AP Movie Critic Christy Lemire is among the many reviewers who loved it. She gave it three and a half stars out of four, writing: "Go see 'The Cabin in the Woods,' then come back and we can have a conversation about it. Just trust me on this. The less you know going into it, the better."
Also opening this weekend is 'The Three Stooges,' the Farrelly brothers' homage to the classic slapstick comedy trio. Lemire gave it two stars out of four, saying: "It's hard to imagine who the film is for today beyond hardcore fans of the original shorts and 10-year-old boys who double over giggling at the sight of grown men doubling over in pain."
