Mumbai: The 13th edition of Mumbai International Film festival (MIFF) for documentary, short and animation films is going to begin from February 3 next year here, said an official statement.
Organized by Films Division, Government of India, and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the week long film extravaganza will be held at the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA).
"MIFF has an enormous goodwill among independent documentary and short film makers and the 13th edition has been reoriented in tandem with the stakeholders," said VS Kundu, Director General, Films Division and Director, MIFF.
The oldest and largest international film festival for the non-feature and animation films in Asia, MIFF-2014 brings a lot of valuable content for filmmakers and cinema lovers.
This year, a veteran Indian documentary filmmaker will be honoured with V Shantaram Lifetime Achievement Award.
The festival will pay tribute to the acclaimed documentary filmmaker, Peter Wintonick, who passed away on November 18, 2013.
