Odisha: IAS officer hit by train, suicide suspected

Bhubaneswar: An IAS officer, Gagan Bihari Swain, was killed on Monday night when a train ran over him at the Bhubaneswar railway station. Police said that the officer jumped in front of the train.

It is unclear whether it was an accident or a suicide. If it was a suicide, the reasons for the same have not yet emerged.

Gagan Bihari Swain was additional secretary in Planning and Coordination Department in Odisha government.
