Rank outsider David Kostelecky of the Czech Republic took murky weather and fancied opponents in his stride to win the Olympic men's Trap shooting gold medal on Sunday.
Kostelecky, 33-year-old and 17th at the last world championships, had the highest score of 121 inqualifying and hit a perfect 25 targets in the final held steady rain.
Giovanni Pellielo of Italy took the silver, while defending champion Alexey Alipov of Russia claimed the bronze following a shoot-off with Australian veteran Michael Diamond.
