Kashmir: A Border Security Force (BSF) trooper was killed and seven civilians were injured on Thursday during heavy shelling between Indian and Pakistani forces troops along the Line of Control in R.S.Pura sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
This is another ceasefire violation by the Pakistani troops in last 24 hours. The injured were rushed to the nearby hospital and rest of the villagers was shifted to safer positions.

There was no loss of life to anyone in the firing, a police officer said.
"Pakistani troops resorted to firing by small arms and 120 mm mortars along the LoC. We also retaliated," a police officer said.
The bordering areas in Kashmir including RS Pura is known for Basmati rice cultivation and a large numbers of farmers are suffering due to heavy firing by the Pakistani rangers.
