PIL filed alleging land scam

BANGALORE: A retired Indian Navy medical officer, Kota Subramanya Naidu has filed a PIL in the High Court on Thursday alleging a land scam at Girinagar IV phase.A division bench heard the PIL stating that, the former president of Viswabharathi House Building Society, B Krishna Bhat had encroached the properties belonging to BDA in Girinagar IV phase and sold them without title between 1985 and 2009. He further argued that the former president of the association had cheated more than 9,000 families and the land scam runs up to Rs 540 crore.
