New Delhi: The judicial custody of MCI chief Ketan Desai has been extended till May 14. He was arrested for allegedly accepting a bribe to grant recognition to a medical college in Punjab.
The CBI laid a trap after receiving a complaint that Desai has allegedly demanded Rs 2 crore. After initial questioning of Desai, the CBI says the scam is around 500 crore rupees.
And it's just not Ketan Desai who is responsible for engineering this scam, sources say there are other players also. Many eminent doctors have also written to the Prime Minister to cleanse the MCI once and for all.
