New Delhi: In a new twist to the PM house security breach case, the Delhi Police on Wednesday filed a case of forgery against Yogita Kidwai, who drove a car into the premises of Prime Minister's residence on July 27.
Police accused Kidwai, a former airhostess, of forging ownership documents of the luxury car that she drove into the Prime Minister's 7, Race Course Road, with her two friends Veena and Imran.
She has been charged under section 420 (cheating), 120B (criminal conspiracy), 471 and 468 (both deal with forgery) for allegedly forging documents to get the ownership of the black luxury car changed in her name.
The case was registered at Timarpur police station in north Delhi as the transport authority where she obtained ownership certificate falls under its jurisdiction.
Police had arrested the trio, all in their early 20s, a day after the sensational incident, which came as an embarrassment for security officials, on charges of criminal tresspassing and impersonation.
All three had said during interrogation that "they drove to the PM's residence just for the sake of fun".
Yogita and Veena, also an air hostess, lost their jobs with Air Sahara after the incident.
