Mumbai: Working with ageing veterans is a boon for Prabhudheva and the choreographer-turned-director says they are his lucky mascots. "I have worked with Vinod Khanna in 'Wanted' and in my next film 'Ramaiya Vasta Vaiya', I will cast Randhir Kapoor. Their presence itself makes a huge difference. They are all huge actors," Prabhudheva told IANS.
"I consider the veterans as my lucky mascots. It not just helps the film, but also brings in their blessings. I will try my best to rope in some veteran actors in each of my film, if it goes well with the script," he further added.
As a director, Prabhudheva delivered two blockbusters - 'Wanted' and 'Rowdy Rathore' - which entered the Rs.100 crore club, but the 39-year-old says his aim is to excel as a creative person.
"As a creative person, I don't get into the ball game of Rs.100 crore or Rs.200 crore. My only motto is to put my best foot forward in the creative aspect of my films. After that it is all distributors and producers look out," he said.
What about the pressure before the release?
"I feel the pressure of not letting anyone down. There is a pressure only when the film is releasing. Just before the release, I get tense, but not while making the film. Because it's not in my hand to take the film to Rs.100 crore, I can only work hard," he said.
The actor, who has been part of both southern and Bollywood industries, can't differentiate between the two.
"I don't see any difference in both the industries because I have been part of both the industries. Bollywood is not new to me. So I am comfortable everywhere," said the actor.
Currently, Prabhudheva is busy promoting his forthcoming film 'ABCD - Any Body Can Dance', in which he has acted. Produced by UTV Spotboy, the film is India's first 3D dance film. It releases Feb 8.
