In a bizarre incident, a primary school teacher in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh was caught sleeping in the classroom while her students waved handheld fans around her. The video of the same has gone viral, creating an uproar, and the teacher, Dimple Bansal, has been suspended.
The incident is reported from Gokulpur village in the Dhanipur region of Aligarh. The 2-minute video showed the teacher sleeping on the floor of a classroom and a girl waving a handheld fan at her. Later, another girl takes the fan from her and does the same, while others sit beside the teacher.

The incident has exposed the pathetic situation of the education system and the parents of the students are fuming after the video surfaced on the internet.
In another video, Bansal was seen assaulting the students, India Today said in a report. As the video, the source of which remains unknown, went public, there was public outrage, especially from the families of the students involved in the incident.
Further action will be taken:
Aligarh’s Basic Education Office, when informed about the viral incident, took prompt action. The official confirmed that it was the same teacher who was seen in the video of the assault on students as well as sleeping during work. Basic Education Officer Rakesh Kumar Singh said that a team will be formed to probe the video and further action will be taken on the matter.
