New Delhi: There was relief for Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt as he did not get the copy of judgement by the special TADA court, that held the trial in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case, on Saturday

Only 13 judgement copies were ready by Saturday of which 10 will be given to the convicts who have been given death sentence, and three to those who have been given life sentences.

The Supreme Court had granted the actor interim bail on August 20, and said he could apply for regular bail and file an appeal against the verdict after he got a copy of the judgement.

Had Dutt been given a copy of the court's judgement, he would have to surrender immediately.

During his temporary reprieve, Dutt has been busy completing his movie contracts, with six movies in production and other commitments, which had been left half undone when he was sent to jail.

Dutt, convicted for possessing arms that came as part of contraband smuggled in by conspirators of the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, was sentenced to six years of rigorous imprisonment.

Dutt was among 100 people found guilty by the court which sentenced 12 of them to death and 20 to life in prison while handing varied jail terms and fines to the rest.
