There's a difference between being a sports person and being a good sport. Actor Aamir Khan tried to showcase that in the first episode of the third season of 'Satyamev Jayate'. With the theme as sports rehabilitation, the show featured several guests from underprivileged backgrounds.
- Aamir Khan introduced Akhilesh Paul, who as a young boy was caught up in the life of crime and gang wars. He told his dark story, where at the age of 14-15, he had to resort to crime and violence to sustain himself.
- Paul then went on to explain that he found freedom while playing football with his young friends.
- Akhilesh went on to coach children and even captained the Homeless World Cup in Brazil in 2010.
- The next guests were Commonwealth Games gold medallists, Babita Kumari and Geeta Kumari - two sisters born in a remote village of Haryana, who fought against all odds to fulfill their dream of becoming professional wrestlers.
- There were also other inspirational sports stories, which were brought to light by Aamir. The show ended with the appearance of badminton player Saina Nehwal and the question whether governing sports bodies should be left only to sports persons.
- The topic of discussion in the first episode was hailed by former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who feels sports plays an important role in building a country's future.
- The 48-year-old actor appealed to youngsters to stay away from drugs and make sports their addiction instead.
