BANGALORE: Minister for Higher Education Dr V S Acharya squarely blamed the Central agencies, including Medical Council of India, for creating confusion over the seat matrix when the state government was all set to start counselling from Monday. Addressing newsmen here on Thursday the minister said that counselling for the specially-abled, sportspersons, NCC, military and ex-servicemen, and those displaced from Kashmir have already been conducted for engineering courses, the seat matrix for which was made available.He said that while AICTE cleared the seat matrix for 145 engineering colleges, including that of nine government institutions, another 30 private colleges have surrendered their entire management quota seats to government to be filled under the state government seat category.
