BANGALORE: In the wake of Bharat Bandh on Thursday, the city police have made tight security arrangements across the city to avoid any untoward incident.About 19,000 policemen have been deployed for the security.Additional Commissioner of Police (Law & Order) T Suneel Kumar said even the policemen, who have gone on leave, are called back for duty on Thursday.“All the policemen including civil, traffic and armed cops will be on duty.Around 35 platoons of Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) and Central Armed Reserve (CAR) sleuths have been deployed,” he added. He also warned to initiate stringent action against those who try to create nuisance and disrupt peace in the city.“There will be no-tolerance attitude against those who try to take advantage of the situation.Meanwhile, DCPs of all the divisions have been directed to be on regular patrolling and give timely instructions to their subordinates,” Kumar said.
