KOCHI: A seminar on road accidents and safety measures, ‘Emergency 2011,’ will be held on Friday. Minister for Public Works V K Ibrahim Kunju will inaugurate the seminar. This is first such seminar to be held in Kerala.The seminar would provide a platform for discussion and debate on road accidents and safety measures.Excise minister K Babu, Mayor Tony Chammani, P Rajeev, MP, MLAs Hibi Eden, V D Satheeshan, and Anwar Sadath, Ernakulam District Panchayat president Eldhose Kunnappily, Ernakulam RDO Shanavas and national president of the Society for Emergency Medicine V P Chandrashekaran are among those who will be present at the day-long seminar.The associations of private bus, tipper and three-wheelers would also be present. There would also be representation from about 150 hospitals, 60 residential associations and 50 colleges. The seminar is being organised by Careon group along with the corporation and the district panchayat.
