CHENNAI: The South Indian Film Artistes' Association (SIFAA) on Tuesday met with Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and thanked her for bringing out an Assembly resolution on the war crimes committed by Sri Lanka during Eelam War IV.
Led by SIFAA president R Sarath Kumar, the general secretary Radha Ravi and functionaries, including Satyaraj, Manorama, Kuili and Mayilsami also congratulated her on her electoral win on behalf of SIFAA..Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Sarath Kumar said, "We thanked her for bringing a resolution in the Assembly on the Sri Lankan war crimes issue."

The actor added that the actors' body had decided to take out a rally and give a memorandum to the Governor to have the demands of the Assembly resolution on Lankan war crimes fulfilled through the Centre and the Parliament. The date of the rally would be finalised soon, he said.
