Special teams to keep tab on ex-convicts

TIRUPUR: The district police have planned to form three special teams, which will be stationed in three zones of the State, to monitor criminals and ex-convicts, especially those operating in Tirupur.  Speaking to reporters, SP  V Balakrishnan, said , “Central zone districts, including Pudukottai, Tiruvarur, Thanjavur and Pattukottai, South zone districts of Theni, Nellai, Thoothukudi, Madurai and Ramnad and North Zone districts Tiruvannamalai, Dharmapuri and Vellore will be covered by the teams, as more ex-convicts and criminals operating in Tirupur hailed from those areas.”
