Sree Sreenivasans lecture

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Social media expert Prof Sree Sreenivasan will deliver a public lecture on the latest trends, challenges and promises of digital media marketing at Technopark on Friday.The ASB Leadership Lecture on ‘Media Entrepreneurship in the 21st Century: Digital Media Market Marketing’ at 3 pm on Friday, at the Travancore Hall, Technopark, is being organised jointly by the Asian School of Business (ASB) and the US Consulate, Chennai.Sreenivasan, a prolific writer, speaker and panelist across the media spectrum, will make the presentation on the different aspects of digital marketing and evolution of the new media platforms, based on his long, pioneering research in the area. The lecture will also be available on www.asbindia.in, the organisers said.Sreenivasan, Dean and Professor, Student Affairs, Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, New York, is respected as a highly accomplished educator. A passionate participant in the social media, he was named one of 22 professors to the Top 100 Twitterers in Academia by OnlineSchools.org.  He was nominated for the World Technology Award, World Technology Summit, London, in 2001. ‘Newsweek’ has named him as one among the 20 influential South Asians in the US, while ‘India Abroad’ included him among the most 50 influential Indians in the US. In 2000, he was named as one of the 40 leaders under the age of 40 in the US by ‘India Today’.  His articles have been carried by ‘New York Times’, ‘Business Week’, ‘International Herald Tribune’ and other leading publications across the continents. He was the co-founder and has been the leading light of the South Asian Journalists’ Association, USA.
