Srinagar: Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, witnessed the coldest night of the season as the mercury dipped at most places in the Valley, while there was some respite from the cold conditions in Ladakh region of the state.
Srinagar recorded a minimum of minus 3.7 degrees Celsius, down by over a degree from previous night's minus 2.6 degrees Celsius, a spokesman of the MET Department said here.

The minimum temperature across Kashmir division, except the ski-resort of Gulmarg, continued to hover below the freezing point owing to continuous dry weather in the state which is expected to end this weekend.

Pahalgam hill resort in south Kashmir recorded a low of minus 3.8 degrees Celsius against yesterday's minus 3 degrees Celsius.
