State Biodiversity Board reconstituted

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Biodiversity Board(KSBB) has been reconstituted. While R V Varma has been retained as the chairman of the Board, all other members are new. Former heads of KU Departments of Botany and Zoology - N Omanakumari and Oommen V Oommen, Centre for Bioinformatics director Achuthsankar S Nair, Agricultural University faculty member A K Sherif, Guruvayoorappan College retired professor K Mohanakurup are some of the new members.The ex-officio members are Agricultural Production Commissioner, Fisheries Department principal secretary, Forest Department principal secretary, Environment Department principal secretary and Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment executive vice-president.
