New Delhi: Vijayawada Police have arrested the organisers of a concert by singer Sunidhi Chauhan on charges of violating the conditions of permission for the musical night.
The three organisers – Marketing Manager of Idea Cellular Services V Gupta, event manager of Srisaimatha Entertainment Podili Raviteja and music organiser Ravi Sabani – were arrested in connection with Sunday night's ‘Idea Rocks India’ concert.
The organisers had taken permission for a crowd of 40,000 people but distributed entry passes to more than that, Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijayakumar said.
Moreover, they "totally failed" in providing seats to everybody in the audience, he said.
A case has been registered under IPC section 188 (violation of conditions of permission), the DCP added.
