Silambarasan, the 'Little Superstar', fondly known as Simbu or STR, has a career that speaks more than the list of his nicknames.
Also, he has been a familiar face in Kollywood right from a very young age, when he performed as a child artiste. The very next step that he took from there is to act as the lead, and he was the hero of 'Kadhal Azhivadhillai'.
From then on, he is one among the long list of chocolate boys that Kollwood flaunts. Though he always had the hidden potential to sing, apart from acting, dancing, composing and writing, it wasn't until recently that it made news. And now he is a sensation! Thanks to AR Rahman, who gave him a break in 2005, with the track 'Baila' in the film 'Kadhal Virus'.
Simbu has also sung for himself as well as a few friends in the industry. But it was his song in 'Poda Podi' and the world famous 'Love Anthem' that has sustained him in the headlines. His most recent venture, in the film 'Kedi Billa Khilladi Ranga' has earned him a huge money. Sources say, that his remuneration for the track totalled to a sum of five lakh rupees!
What more? He is one of the sought after voices not only in K town, but also in the neighbouring woods as well. The Little Superstar is certainly making it big!
