Tax on microwave towers soon in Hubli

HUBLI: Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation is planning to fix and collect tax from mobile service provider companies which have microwave towers in the HDMC limits.
About 200 mobile towers are operating in HubliDharwad twin cities without any valid permission from the HDMC authorities. Many of them are located on top of houses or commercial complexes. Each tower has a micro wave tower of over 30 foot height, an antenna and a powerback generator housed in about 30x40 sq ft area.
