HYDERABAD: Rejecting the bail petition of Nukarapu Suryaprakasa Rao, managing director of a Telugu vernacular, the CBI special court on Thursday remanded him to judicial custody.
Magistrate B Naga Maruthi Sharma dismissed the bail petition and remanded him to judicial custody. Later, he was shifted to Chanchalguda prison. In 2004, a lower court imposed two years imprisonment and Rs 2,000 penalty to each accused. While acquitting two accused in the case, the High Court also directed to implement the same judgment in April this year.
