Two sisters of a family have been harassed by three men at Miranpur town in Muzaffarnagar, who also shot at one of them, injuring her seriously, police said.
The younger daughter was on Sunday harassed by the three men following which her father lodged a complaint with the police. The three accused then pressurised the family to withdraw the case, failing which they also harassed the elder daughter and shot at her on Sunday, they said adding the injured girl, aged 20, has been shifted to a hospital in a serious condition.
Two of the three accused identified as --Shadab, Javed and Mintu -- have been arrested while the third one is absconding, Deputy SP Mukesh Mishra said.
A case has been registered against the three accused in this connection and search is on to nab the absconder, he said.
