Chandigarh: Three more players participating in the ongoing kabaddi World Cup have failed dope tests and have been stopped from taking any further part in the tournament on Monday.
The organising committee of the event also issued notices to the players of Group B pool, who are from the United States, Spain and Argentina.
On Sunday, the organising committee had temporarily suspended four players who tested positive for banned substances in the National Anti Doping Agency laboratory, according to the organising secretary and former India hockey captain, Pargat Singh.
Out of these four players, two were from Australia while one each was from Germany and Canada.
Pargat reiterated the organising committee's commitment to ensure dope-free tournament.
