Tumkur accident: Death toll rises to 18

TUMKUR: The death toll of the tempo trax-KSRTC bus collision that occurred on Monday rose to 18, with the death of a man on Tuesday along with another body which is yet to be identified. As many as 20 persons were travelling in the illfated Tempo Trax when it hit a Shimoga-bound KSRTC bus near Sri Siddharatha Medical College at Heggere on Bangalore-Honnavar national highway-206. Critically injured Asif , 35, of Lingammanahalli village in Gubbi taluk, was shifted to NIMHANS in Bangalore on Tuesday. Another deceased was identified as Devaraj, 20, of Chikka Kattigenhalli village, of Bangalore.Two more injured, including Swamy and Radha, are currently recuperating in National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) in Bangalore, and district general hospital here.
