CHENNAI: Former agriculture minister Veerapandi S Arumugham, who surrendered before the central crime branch (CCB) in Salem on Monday, has moved the Madras High Court again to modify the surrender order. While passing orders on an advance bail plea from Veerapandi, Justice G Rajasuriya had on July 22 told him to surrender before the Salem CCB. After three days of police custody, he could move Judicial Magistrate V in Salem seeking advance bail and he should be released on conditional bail, the judge had said.In his new plea, Veerapandi pointed out that there was no provision in the CrPC to order his surrender to the police. The matter will be taken up on Tuesday.
