A group of women allegedly set a shop on fire on Bhopa road in Muzaffarnagar for illegally selling liquor, police said on Sunday. The agitated women have alleged that they had complained to the district authorities earlier but no action was taken against the shop owner, they said.

The accused owner escaped when the women set his shop on fire on Saturday, police said adding the shop was gutted.
