World Health Day Observed

KOCHI: A group walk from Fort Kochi Veli to the Vasco da Gama Square marked the World Health Day-2012 celebrations in Fort Kochi on Saturday morning. Scores of youngsters and elders, both men and women, participated in the walk organised under the auspices of the Walkers’ Team, Kochi. The walk was flagged-off by Dr V J George. A function organised on the occasion was addressed by Atul Wasti of the Indian Navy. Bharat N Khona, Dr P G Laljee and Majeed Makker spoke.The Indian Medical Association, Kochi West, the Indian Navy, the Coast Guard, the Fort Kochi Yoga Group and the Nursing School of Gautham Hospital were among the organisations which participated in the Health Day walk and other celebrations.
