An eighteen-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a youth at gunpoint in Bhensaheri village in Muzaffarnagar, following which a case has been registered against two persons, police said.
According to a complaint filed by the mother of the girl at Chapra Police Station, Rafik and Kalam entered the girl's house on Wednesday. Kalam put the revolver on the girl's head while Rafik allegedly raped her, SHO Arun Kumar Tyagi said.
The police has registered a case against the two in this connection, Tyagi said, adding, both the accused are absconding.
Meanwhile, in another incident, a nine-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly raped by an unidentified miscreant at a forest area in Panchenda village under New Mondi Police Station near here on Wednesday.
The minor was found lying in an unconscious state in the jungle, SP city Sarvan Kumar said. She was rushed to a hospital in Meerut, he said, adding, the girl has sustained injuries in her private parts.
The police is investigating the case, Kumar said.
