Keshav Maharaj produced an absolute beauty to get rid of Shubman Gill in the high-octane clash between India and South Africa. Gill, who has been in good form with the bat this year, was completely outplayed by a sensational delivery from Maharaj and got bowled.
Shubman missed out on a ton against Sri Lanka in the last match and was dismissed on 92 and he continued where he left off and started strong at Eden Gardens on Sunday. He hit four fours and a six to put pressure on South Africa.
However, it was the 11th over when Maharaj came into the attack and the third ball he pitched it on the leg stump, Gill came forward to play but it moved away and hit the top of the middle stump to end his stay in the middle.

Gill looked disappointed while taking a long walk back towards the pavilion as he failed to convert the start into a big score and was dismissed for 23.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma and Gill gave a solid start to India once again with a 62-run stand before Kagiso Rabada got the better of the Indian skipper.
Earlier, India captain Rohit won the toss and elected to bat against fellow semi-finalists South Africa.
Unbeaten tournament leaders India, fresh from skittling out Sri Lanka for just 55 in Mumbai on Thursday, were unchanged for this heavyweight clash at Eden Gardens as they look for an eighth win in eight games.

Both India and South Africa, currently second in standings, are already into the last four and will stay on course to meet again in the November 19 final in Ahmedabad if they retain their current positions.
South Africa, whose place in the knockout phase was assured by Pakistan’s defeat of New Zealand on Saturday, have lost just once when suffering a shock defeat by the Netherlands.
They have looked more fallible chasing than setting a target, however.
South Africa made just one change to the side that overwhelmed New Zealand by 190 runs in Pune on Wednesday, with left-arm wrist-spinner Tabraiz Shamsi replacing paceman Gerald Coetzee.
