Hyeri has finally reacted to the news surrounding her break up with Ryu Jun Yeol and his new relationship with Han So Hee. Over the weekend, drama unfolded when rumours of Ryu Jun Yeol and Han So Hee dating made the headlines. While the couple denied the rumours only to eventually confirm it, Hyeri’s cryptic reaction to their dating rumours went viral. “It’s fun,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories, seemingly reacting to the rumours, and eventually unfollowing Ryu Jun Yeol on Instagram.

A section of social media users accused Han So Hee of separating Hyeri and Ryu Jun Yeol, who dated for eight years. Hyeri has now addressed the drama and confirmed that she separated from Ryu Jun Yeol before he started dating Han So Hee. She penned a long post on Instagram in which she apologised to everyone for her cryptic post and sparking the controversy. She then opened up about her and Ryu Jun Yeol’s break up.

“Hello, this is Hyeri. First, I would like to apologize for the controversies and speculations caused by my own emotions. At the time, I didn’t know the consequences each of my small actions could bring. I would like to sincerely apologize to the people who were affected by my actions,” she said.

“Last November, reports were published stating that my 8-year relationship was over. The decision to end our relationship wasn’t made quickly, and even after the articles were published, we spoke about further discussing our relationship,” Hyeri added.

“However, after that conversation, we have never spoken and have never seen each other. I think when I read the news (of his new relationship) 4 months later, I received the news as Lee Hyeri, the person rather than the actress. Again, I would like to apologize for causing harm due to my emotions,” she confessed.

“The reason I have been silent on the issue is that our conversations were very personal, and I felt that they would cause more exhaustion. I again apologize to those who were confused by my silence. In the future, I will be more cautious with my words and actions,” Hyeri concluded her post.

Han So Hee and Ryu Jun Yeol went public with their relationship over the weekend. On Monday morning, Dispatch released photos to reveal that the couple spent the weekend in Hawaii.
