Subhash Chandra Bose, the famous freedom fighter known as Netaji, was known in particular for his militant approach to independence and his push for socialist policies. One of his famous slogans is “Freedom is not given, it is taken.”
Mahatma Gandhi
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, who played a prominent role in India’s freedom once said, “Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes”. His civil disobedience movement is also one of the major movements that broke the Britisher’s back. He also said, “When the state becomes lawless or corrupt, civil disobedience becomes a sacred duty.”
Bal Gangadhar Tilak
Bal Gangadhar Tilak, who received the title of Lokmanya, said- “Swaraj is my birthright, and I will have it.”
