Actress Parvathy Thiruvothu, who was last seen in the big budget Tamil film Thangalaan, is quite an inspiration when it comes to fashion. Playing a deglamorised tribal woman in the 19th century in Thangalaan must have been quite a challenge for the diva, who is known to share her fashion statement from time to time with her fans on social media. Her most recent picture proves that Parvathy can ace any look with even minimal accessories. Denim jeans, as we all know, are quite versatile because they can be paired with almost anything. Setting an example here is Parvathy, who chose a semi-formal asymmetric blazer top to go with her light-washed high waist relaxed denims. The actress wore a buttoned-down top with collars. It featured red and beige printed motifs throughout the top. She kept her look minimal by opting for just a ring to accessorise herself. For makeup, she chose flawless skin, blushed cheeks, matte lipstick and mascara on the lids. She rounded off the look with a pair of brown footwear.
In a recent interview, Parvathy opened up about her experience working in Thangalaan. Reflecting on her experience working with Chiyaan Vikram and Pa Ranjith, she shared, “The work you see today would not have been possible without Vikram. My co-star Malavika, portraying Aarati, is fiercely impressive in the film. I admire Ranjith for his filmmaking, particularly his use of magical realism and stunning visuals. I believe he has engaged in some deep self-reflection in this project. I’ve always believed in the significant power and influence of cinema. Ranjith grasps this power and transforms it into something truly magical. I’m thrilled to have played a small role in it and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.”
Parvathy was also one of the actresses who openly spoke in favour of the Hema Committee report that exposed sexual harassment in the Malayalam film industry. She called it a “game changer”, a “historic moment” and something more than “Me Too Part 2”.
